What quality means to us

We believe that quality is the foundation of trust.
To not only live up to customer expectations but also provide value that goes one step further,
we implement rigorous quality control in all our processes—from planning to design, development, and operation.

Guaranteeing quality is not something you can do through a specific process. Quality is built through steady, day-to-day efforts across the entire supply chain. That is why we
continue to reach higher and higher, always striving to improve and assessing the outcomes of our efforts.

We will continue to evolve our approach to food safety
so that we can solidify our identity as a reliable, trustworthy presence.

A unique process control system that supports reliable quality

We have established our own quality standards and implement rigorous monitoring at each step of the process, from seawater intake to product shipment.

Halal certification

In 2014, Diasalt’s Table Salt became the
first product in the Japanese salt-manufacturing industry to receive Halal certification
from the Japan Halal Association.

Meeting diverse needs in line with global standards

In 2014, we became the first company in the domestic salt manufacturing industry to obtain
halal certification, showing that we satisfy the standards of Islamic law. The system we have established allows more customers, including Muslims in Japan and abroad, to use our products without worrying about ingredients or production processes.

What is halal certification?

“Halal” refers to what is “permissible” under Islamic law. Halal certification indicates that a product is of a high quality and manufactured using safe, clean processes that align with those rules. The high-quality control standards for halal certification are an indicator of trust—and one that goes beyond the field of food products, also extending to pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.

Reliable quality, an engine for global expansion

The Muslim market, which is said to account for about 23% of the world’s population (approximately 1.6 billion people), is projected to continue expanding into the future. Our halal-certified products are thus a reliable resource for food manufacturers aiming to expand globally and other food-related businesses, including dining establishments and in-flight caterers, that need to cover a diverse range of dietary patterns.
